THOMAS LORNE SMITH Passed away at St. Boniface Hospital April 26, 2001, at age 69. Survived by his wife and his best friend Florence (Rochon) and his daughters, Kathryn (Kevin) Tupper, (Micha, Megan, Collette) Karen Hunter, (Calvin, Shawn, Amanda) and their father Dave, and Florences family, Marc (Rosemary), (and Christopher) Michel, Daniel, Paul (Bev), (Marissa, Jamie) Jean Pierre (Charmaine) and (Reece). Brothers, George (Edna), Patrick (Mary) sisters, Marj Floyd, June Bond, Elaine (Ray) Fawcett and their families; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and sister-in-law and dear friend Laurette Remillard. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Owen and Laurene Smith and his first wife Agnes. Lorne served in the peacetime army and airforce all over Northern Canada. He was a Power Engineer by trade employed by Campbell Soup and Diamond Cold. A big man with a big voice but with an even bigger heart, he loved his family, travelling and playing Keno. His grandchildren loved him so much. An informal memorial service conducted by Deacon Mark Scott, will be held at 517 Ravelstone East, Transcona, on Sunday, April 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Bye Bye Grandpapa
