WILLA ANNETTE EGAN (McHardy) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Willa Annette Egan on April 27, 2001, age 73, at Deer Lodge Centre. Left to mourn her passing are her spouse of 52 years, Maurice; her sons, Dale of Glendora, California and Gary (Paulette) of Athens, Georgia; brother Jim (Rosalie) McHardy; sister Shirley (Randy) McConaghy of Cobblehill, B.C. and twin sister Helen Starr of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Robert (Rachel) Egan of California; step-grandson, Loren (Cindy) Maxwell of New Jersey, numerous nieces, nephews and two step great-grandchildren. Willa, a native of Winnipeg, was the daughter of James and Martha Mary McHardy. She was a homemaker who enjoyed golfing and travelling, and was a football and baseball fan. She also served in the community as a volunteer at Deer Lodge Centre for 14 years in devotion to her husband. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Deer Lodge Centre Chapel, 2109 Portage Ave. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all the nurses and staff at Victoria General Hospital, Central Park Lodge and Deer Lodge Centre 7-West for all their kindness and care given to Willa. Also special thanks to Helen for her devotion to her sister during her illness.
