Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS FLORENCE PALUK Surrounded by her loving family, Phyllis passed away peaceful at her home on April 28, 2001. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband, Frank, of 60 years; her children, Allan (Barbara) Paluk, Carol Skyhar (Don Lavallee), Audrey (John) Rojeski, Kenneth (Judy) Paluk and Valerie (Gerald) Swirsky. She also leaves to mourn her passing her very special grandchildren, Douglas (Merle), Lynn (Bill), Kimberly, Shelley, Jeffery (Jen), Dale, Wayne (Candy), Elissa (Mark), Wesley, Kyle, Kristopher, Trevor and Kurtis. And special great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Jessie, Jayde and Dawson. Left to hold onto her memory are her sisters, Esther Lavis and Patricia Green. Her parents Peter and Paraska Drohomereski and siblings Mary Keryluk, Bill Demray, Anne Nyers, Tom Demray and Olga Drohomereski predeceased Phyllis. Phyllis was born and raised in the Pleasant Home area. She married Frank in May of 1941 and together they enjoyed a warm and loving relationship along with a farming partnership. Her passions in life were sewing, crocheting, knitting, traveling, but most of all, the times spent with her family. Phyllis was a very independent and industrious person. She was involved in the community through her 4-H leadership, the Womans Auxiliary and also the Teulon Agricultural Fair, where she received many ribbons of achievement. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephens Greek Orthodox Church in Pleasant Home with Rev. A. Harkavij officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dale Skyhar, Wayne Skyhar, Douglas Paluk, Jeffery Paluk, Kyle Swirsky, and Wesley Paluk. Honourary Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kristopher Swirsky, Trevor Paluk and Kurtis Swirsky. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Nurses Aids, Home Care and family friends for the special care they provided. It saddens us to loose you, Mom, but we thank you for the courage and strength you have shown us which will get us through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phylliss memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB. VICHNAYA PAMYAT MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of arrangements.
