GERALD KROEKER Following a courageous battle with cancer, alongside family and friends, Gerald Kroeker, aged 43 years, beloved husband of Marilyn and loving father of Jenna passed away peacefully on April 29, 2001, at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Man. As a result of growing up on the family homestead, Gerald developed a strong work ethic and a genuine love for all aspects of farming. Highlights of Geralds business involvements include his farming at Dufresne, time at Reimer Farm Supplies as Service Manager and Kroeker Excavating and Trucking. His final dream was achieved when he built the shop and started Quality Repair with Dick Klassen. Gerald married Marilyn on October 1, 1977. He realized the greatness of Gods creation when his special daughter Jenna was born on April 3, 1985. He enjoyed family vacations, car shopping with Jenna, going out for morning coffee with his friends and was always planning for the future. He will be fondly remembered and eternally loved by his wife Marilyn; daughter Jenna; parents, Clarence and Agnes Kroeker; brothers and sisters, Bev and Frank Klassen, Wayne and Arlene Kroeker, Alden and Priscilla Kroeker, Barb and Ross Klassen; nieces and nephews, Jodi and Dan Zilinski, Brennan Klassen, Chrystie and Richard Boggs, Cherise Kroeker and Jarret Procter, Stephanie and Chelsea Klassen; Marilyns parents, Bill and Anne Enns; brother Gord Enns and sister-in-law Deirdre McGarry. Gerald was predeceased by his sister Bonnie in 1980. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd., Steinbach, MB. Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 2, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel and at the church prior to the service. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Bethesda Hospital Nurses Fund or Cancer Care Manitoba, available at the Church. Thank you to all those who kept Gerald company during his hospital stays. We are also grateful to the many who have faithfully supported us with their prayers. Special thanks to Dr. Rick Hamm, Drs. Foerster and Daennick, and the nursing and support staff at St. Boniface 5A and Bethesda Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Man. 204-326-1351.
