VERONIQUE (VERA) LAVALLEE (nee DUCHARME) Peacefully on April 29, 2001 at Central Park Lodge, Veronique Lavallee entered into rest at the age of 77 years. Vera was predeceased by her husband Xavier (Mike) Lavallee, parents Gerry and Virginie Ducharme, brothers Etienne and Harve and sisters Marceline and Lorette. Vera will be sadly missed by her children, Raymond, Richard, Randy (Monique), Greg (Bonita), Rosalyn (Claude), Marlene (Rob), Susan and Sandra (Al), twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Marie (Wallie) Buechler and brothers, David (Alice), Emile (Marguerite) and Tom (Lorraine) brother-in-law Louie Lavallee, many nieces and nephews and long time companion Ray Keller. Vera was born and raised in St. Laurent. She married Xavier and they moved to Winnipeg in the 1950s where she lovingly raised her eight children. Mom enjoyed the simple things in life, particularly the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike, Derek, Craig, Kevin and Eric Lavallee, Clint Buors, Brad Coutu and Andre Sizer. The family would like to thank Central Park Lodge for the great care they gave our mother, especially the 9th Floor staff. In keeping with our mothers wishes cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held at a later date. TO MOM How very, very lucky we were that you were our Mother. You will always be the most important lady in our lives. Your love and guidance will always be with us. We wish you could have been with us longer, but we are so grateful for the time we had.
