ROBERT (BOB) BROWN JR. After a short illness, Robert (Bob) Brown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at his home. Bob will be lovingly missed by his step-daughter Susan (Donald) McLeod; step-son Leighton Barton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Stone and Marion Crossland (Fred) from the Comox Valley, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Mary; brother Donald; his parents and brother-in-law Bill Stone. Bob had many jobs which included being a firefighter, a milkman and he was also a clerk with the Dept. of Transport. His favourite pastimes were golf and having coffee with his friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. The friends and family will gather at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home at 1:50 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobs memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0V9. The family wishes to thank his very good neighbors, and friends, Carol Alexander, Anne Johnston, Bob Armstrong, his friends from work and to the VONs and Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre for their care and support.
