JOAN MacDONALD (nee AMON) After a short illness, Joan MacDonald passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 64 yeaaurie (Tim) Wiebe, Wendy MacDonald-Plouffe and Charlene rs. Joan will be lovingly remembered by husband Ken; children, Bob (Chris) MacDonald, LMacDonald (friend Chris Gabb) grandchildren, Sherise and Rachel MacDonald, Caitlin and Adrienne Wiebe and Amanda and Jessica Plouffe; brother Frank Amon and his daughters, Dianne Robb and Susan and Glen Greico and their son Eric. Joan was born and raised in Winnipeg. She was employed by the River East School Division for over 20 years until her retirement on July 3, 2000. Joan loved to spend time with family, her grandchildren and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Pastor Mark Woods officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank Dr. Birch and staff and Dr. Unrah and staff for all their care and compassion. A very special thank-you to all at the Palliative Care Unit 3E at Riverview Health Centre for all their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joans memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 2B7.
