Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KEBALO The family sadly announces the passing of George Kebalo on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 78 years of age after a brief illness. Born in Sucho Volya, Ukraine on April 10, 1923. Dear brother of Peter (Anastasia) Kebalo of St. Catharines and Anna Ciryk of Ternopil Region, Ukraine. Loving Uncle of Mary (Ken Plata) and children, Gregory, Leanne and Jonathan living in Burlington, and Andriy (Mary) and children Christine and Andrew of Grimsby. Dear cousin of Walter Cardinal and Mary Zelen and families, Elsie and Patsy and families, all of Winnipeg. Mr. Kebalo will be lovingly remembered by family in Ukraine, Winnipeg and Ontario. Mr. Kebalo was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church and prior to moving to St. Catharines a member of St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipeg. George worked as a chef for Canadian Pacific, both on the trains and later at Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg where he excelled at his chosen career. He came to Canada with the goal of helping his family in Ukraine. George will always be remembered for his unselfish dedication. Vichnaya Pamyat! Mr. Kebalo is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Visiting hours are Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Memorial remembrances to Sts.
