Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN WRIGHT (nee SITAR) It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Wright announces her passing on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Beatrice Sitar; sister Eleanor; and brother Eddy. She is survived by her husband Ted; daughter Charlotte (Paul) Westdal; sons, Morley, and Robert (Glenda). She also leaves behind grandchildren, Kirsten (Louis) Plowden-Wardlaw, Stephanie Westdal, Christopher (Tiffany) Westdal, Jason, Jeffrey, Lauren, Samantha, Daniel; and great-granddaughter Madison Westdal. She will also be remembered by her brothers, Teddy, George, and Casey; and sisters, Joan and Cec. Mom was born in Elma, MB, September 18, 1921. She grew up on the family farm in Elma, a place which remained dear to her throughout her life. It was here that she began her lifelong attachment to the natural world, from delight in a cold snowy day, to excitement at the first sign of geese returning in the spring. As a young woman, she moved to Winnipeg and met her husband Ted and established a home. Her culinary skills were superb. She enjoyed many happy hours in the garden. Just this past Easter she provided each of her family members with her delicious Paska bread. Helen will be remembered for her stunning beauty as a young woman, her kind and gentle manner, her selfless commitment to her family, her total devotion to her grandchildren, her delight in her great-granddaughter, and her pivotal role at the centre of her family. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4477 Main St. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
