Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER (JOHN) COCKERILL Peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Crocus Court Personal Care Home, Roblin, MB, Walter (John) Cockerill, aged 101, passed away with his family at his side. Walter was born December 11, 1899 at Fleming, N.W.T. (later known as Saskatchewan) to Bert and Annie (Greenhaulgh) Cockerill. He was predeceased by his wife Rosie M. (Sokolowski) on January 9, 1980; his parents; brothers, Horace, Ernest, Ralph, Arthur; sisters, Vera and Florence; brothers-in-law, Jack Sanders and Ted Sanders; sisters-in-law, Annie and Elizabeth. Surviving is sister Ruth Sanders; and brother Roy; sons, Ralph (Greta), Alvin (Helen), David (Lynda), Wayne (Jean), Chester (Brenda) daughters, Sylvia (John) Nykyforak, Ada (Cecil) Peats, Nettie (Edward) Kendall, Linda (Robert) Byle; many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held in Roblin on May 1. If friends desire, donations in Walters memory may be made to the Merridale Community Club in care of Wayne Cockerill, Box 1, R.R. No. 1, Group 10, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0 or Crocus Court Personal Care Home, Box 940, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0 in lieu of flowers.
