Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA ROSE DUGAS (nee MANAIGRE) 1922 - 2001 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Alma Rose, on May 3, 2001 at her residence. Alma Rose will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Come; two sons and four daughters, Rachel Jeanson, Jeannette Carriere (Marius), Lise Marshall (Brian), Jocelyne Saltel (Emile), Gilles (Louise), Robert (Irene) and by 15 grandchildren. Alma also leaves to mourn two brothers, Romeo (Therese), Edouard (Lilliane) two sisters, Laurette Lacroix and Lucille Manaigre. She will also be missed by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Alma Rose was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Jeanson in 1953; her father, Joseph Manaigre in 1947 and her mother Anne Marie in 1975. Alma Rose was born in Lorette (Dufresne) in 1922 and also raised her own family in Lorette. Having to combine business and raising a family was not an easy task. That is why Alma Rose so cherished every moment spent with family and friends, especially around the dining table. She made a point of entering every event or celebration in her diaries. Her favourite pastime was playing cards. Alma played till the very end and won! The last few years were not easy for Alma Rose, but with the help of her loved ones she never gave up the battle nor lost her "joie de vivre". "One" flower was sufficient to make her happy. She will be missed by all. The family wish to thank Dr. Reich for her many years of dedicated care. Prayers will be said on Sunday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. from Green Acres Funeral Chapel, by M. labbe Bernard Belanger. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. from Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette, MB with M. labbe Maurice Jeanneau and Deacon M. Jean Fontaine (cousin) presiding. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery at Lorette. Pallbearers will be Alma Roses six grandsons: Roger Moyen, Daniel Carriere, Raymond Jeanson, Andy Jeanson, Chris Jeanson and Michel Saltel. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Alma Roses memory to The Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3R6 or to a charity of ones choice.
