Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK STOLAR Peacefully on May 3, 2001, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Nick Stolar, aged 79 years, of Selkirk, passed away after a lengthy illness. Nick was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Bill, Peter, Henry, Mike and Steve and sisters, Frances and Kay. Nick will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by sisters, Phyllis, Bernice and Jean (Mike) and his many loving nieces and nephews. Nick was born in Walkleyburg, Man., on May 13, 1921, and lived there most of his life. He loved farming but had to retire due to ill health. He then moved to Selkirk and a few years later to the Happy Thought Villa in East Selkirk. There he suffered a severe stroke and spent five years at Red River Place Nursing Home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lindenschmidt and the hospital staff, to the wonderful staff at Red River Place for their excellent care, compassion and support and to two special friends that visited quite often, Eleanor and her brother John. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held on Monday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the East Selkirk Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Nick to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg. Remember Nick in your thoughts and memories of his many acts of kindness.
