LILLIAN BERNICE RIDDELL Peacefully following a lengthy illness on Monday, April 30, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Bernice Riddell passed away at the age of 84 years. Bernice was predeceased by her very special aunt and uncle Vi and Harry Larkun, her two sisters Theo Rae and Helen Wilson, one brother Leo Riddell and one nephew Brian Rae. She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters Vera Manning of Manitou, MB and Vivian Shewfelt of Surrey, B.C. as well as long-term friends, numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian began her working career with Woolworths in the 1930s and during the Second World War she was employed with MacDonald Air Craft. She then worked for Safeway in their Head Office Department. During her last years of working she was employed with the Manitoba Government. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. The family wish to extend special thanks to the staff of 4E at St. Boniface Hospital as well as the staff of 3rd floor of Poseidon Personal Care Home.
