JOYCE HUNTER (nee MARTIN) 1925 - 2001 On Saturday, May 5, 2001, Joyce died of pancreatic cancer, at the Grace General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is survived by her beloved husband Harold and her sister and best friend, Frances Martin. She was predeceased by her parents George and Beatrice Martin. Joyce was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she lived all of her life. She was fond of music and performed in several choirs and stage shows, including Rainbow Stage. Joyce was an accomplished needlewoman winning many awards for her work. In later life, she took up watercolour painting and coloured pencil work. She enjoyed her home where she and Harold loved to entertain, mostly at dinner parties. Cremation has taken place and at Joyces request there will be no formal service. Friends are invited to a gathering in celebration of Joyces life at the University Womens Club, 54 Westgate, Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, May 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
