HENNING O. HOULIND Peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2001 with his family and special friends at his side, Henning passed away after a lengthy illness with cancer at the age of 56 years. Henning will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary; son Barrie; daughters, Tammy Bell (Rob) and Andrea Houlind (Mike) stepdaughter Cathy Ferguson (Jim) special grandson Warren Edwards; 14 grandchildren; his father Svend and sister Anne. He was predeceased by his mother Anna; brothers, Jens, Iver and John; and sister-in-law Eileen Houlind. He was raised on the family farm in Ostenfeld, MB and moved to Transcona when he married Mary in 1964. Henning worked for Globelite Batteries for 13 years and Burns Meats for 22 years. He enjoyed his Blue Bomber and hockey games and was always ready to give a helping hand to anybody who needed him. Henning always had a joke to tell. In compliance with Hennings wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Our family wishes to thank all the doctors who took such good care of Henning, his nurses and our special friends who helped us all through his illness, and all the volunteer drivers from the CancerCare centre. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Hennings memory may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
