JAMES ALEXANDER McKENZIE February 28, 1920 - May 4, 2001 Peacefully on May 4, 2001 with family by his side, Jim passed away at Concordia Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Wilma; his children, Christine, Lorraine (Randy) grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Katherine, (Nathan, Melissa) great grandchildren Chelsea and Laura Leigh. His parents and brother predeceased him. Jim was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, MB and served his country overseas during the Second World War, from September 1939 to May 1946, with the Winnipeg Rifles, Princess Pats and The RCME. The majority of his career, he was employed as a tinsmith at Swifts Canada. Jim was a long-standing member of The Prince Edward Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. In his leisure time he spent many hours on Lake Winnipeg trying to get the big one that got away. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 east at Concordia, for their kindness and compassion during his final days. At Jims request, cremation has taken place with a private family gathering.
