LILY MABEL NEWBERG (WEISS) Peacefully on May 5, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre, Lily Newberg passed away at the age of 62 years, born January 9, 1939. Lily leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Kimberley and husband Tom Villeneuve; her mother Rose Marie and step-father Elie Erstelle; sisters, Sandra Anderson, Bernice (Isaac) Messinger; brother-in-law Hubert Keip; nieces and nephews, Marion (Lyle), Darin (Collette), Delia and Mona as well as many grandnieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her husband Virgil Newberg November 24, 1979, father Reinhold Weiss February 28, 2001 and her sister Gladys Keip January 7, 2000. Special thanks to the GA-4 staff at the Health Sciences Centre and to the Health Sciences Chaplains for her Baptism and Pastoral Care. Private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba at the Health Sciences Center in her memory. Lily, a quiet person, had many hobbies including arts and crafts, she was a big "Blue Jays Fan" and enjoyed bowling at Roxie Lanes, Darts at Club 60 and could never resist a garage sale.
