EMMA JEAN MATHEWS Infant daughter of Gordon and Melanie Mathews passed from this world into the arms of Jesus on May 1, 2001. She is survived by her loving parents Gordon and Melanie Mathews; grandmother Jean Mathews, aunt Jill Mathews, uncle David Mathews, aunt Loverne Mathews, cousins, Jennifer and Heather Mathews and Colin and Sean Irvine; grandfather Neil Zacharias, grandmother Bette Zacharias, aunt Kim Hildebrand, cousins, Lucas, Nolan and Marissa Hildebrand, aunt Monica Buller, uncle James Buller, cousins, Jessica, Cole and Riley Buller and uncle Carl Hildebrand. She was predeceased by her sister Sarah Jane, February 8, 2000, and her grandfather Phillip Mathews in 1983. Emma, we so looked forward to bringing you home with us, but instead you are home with God. Your little life blessed our hearts, and we will treasure that memory forever. You will be sadly missed by your parents and all those who love you so much. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at The Meeting Place, 139 Smith St. Burial to be held at Chapel Lawn and reception to follow at The Meeting Place. Thank you for all the kindness shown through prayer, meals, flowers, notes and expressions of love and caring. A special thanks to Emmas physicians Dr. Susan Taylor and Dr. Elisabeth Giesbrecht for their love, support and compassion. Also, a special thanks to Emmas nurses at St. Boniface Hospital Labour and Delivery Unit (ABC Room). You made our time with our daughter very special. Thank you to our families, community and church. You have lifted us up and carried us through this difficult time. God bless you all. Emma, we love you with all our hearts. You have brought so much joy into our lives. You have touched many lives and you will never be forgotten. You hold a place in our hearts that is yours forever. Have fun with your sister Sarah in your eternal life in Heaven.
