Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN WOZNY (nee Zolondek) Peacefully, on Sunday, May 6, 2001, Jean passed away to join her beloved husband Walter. Jean was born on March 6, 1920, in Sapton, MB, the youngest of nine children of Josephine and Jan Zolondek. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Martin, Mike, Henry, and Frank, and sisters, Mary, Katie and Anne. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister Nellie; sons, Lloyd (Audrey) and Leonard (Heather), and her treasured grandchildren, Jennifer (Tom Flight), Christine, Robyn (John Baluta), Paul, and Laurel and her great-granddaughter Kathryn Flight, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jean and Walter raised their two sons in Garson, MB. They farmed, and later ran their grocery store in Garson. They moved to Winnipeg in 1960, and later ran another store on Scotia Street. While Walter worked, Jean enjoyed running the store. Jean loved her home and having friends and family over. She had a beautiful garden, and a true love of nature. Jean made many beautiful needlepoint pictures, pillows and crocheted lovingly for her family. When Jean moved to Donwood South in 1998, she made many new friends and is especially grateful for all their help and concern during her time of illness. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Drive with Rev. Fr. Raymond Baudry officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garson, MB.
