HERBERT KOCH After a valiant struggle with cancer, Herbert went to his heavenly home on May 8, 2001. The youngest of seven children, he was born in Breslau, Germany on March 29, 1919. He was predeceased by a daughter in infancy. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ella. Also surviving are his two children, Elfriede (Reinhard Klein) and Herbert (Anne) six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all in Canada. He also leaves behind one sister and nieces and nephews with their families in Germany. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. W. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
