MARY WONG-MOON Mary Wong-Moon went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2001 in Winnipeg. Mary was born in China on September 21, 1916, lived most of her life in Trinidad, and in her later years, travelled often between Vancouver, Winnipeg and Trinidad. She was predeceased by husband Charles; and sons, Wilson and Hunte. She is survived by her children, Winfield, Wilkie (Mary), Ken (Sandra), Shirley (Len) Layne, Marlene (Jorge) Molina; daughter-in-law Doris; and special daughter and family friend Doreen Simmons. Grandchildren, Chris, Janelle, Kirby (Pauline), Roger, Leah, Allan, Ben (Christine), Andrew (Susan) Wong-Moon; Nicolette, Lindsay and Laurie Layne; Gabriel Chung, Christopher and Julie Molina, Vernon, Alan, Stephen, Michael and Tony Chen; and great-grandchildren, Devon and Kaia. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 8:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 920 Cottonwood Rd., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Seraph Evangelical Free Church, 920 Cottonwood Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1G2.
