CORNELIUS FAST Peacefully with his family at his side, Cornelius Fast passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Agnes of 54 Years; Louise and (Ken) Martens, grandson Kevin (Patti) Martens, great-grandson Coleson; Ron and (Margaret) Fast, grandsons, Paul, Derek (fiancee Heather), Eric; Frank and (Lorraine) Fast, grandchildren, Grant and Julie; Alvin and (Betty) Fast, grandchildren, Neil and Elizabeth, stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Colleen, Jacqueline and Michael and stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor and Alana; Katherine and (David) McLeod, grandson Ian; Karl and (Janet) Fast, grandchildren, Andrew, Donovan, Garrett and Lance. He is also survived by sisters, Mary (Frank) Wiens, Katie (Frank) Voth; brother Abraham (Pamela) Fast; and sister Susie (Bruce) Moore; and many nieces and nephews. He shared many special times with the Wiens family, numerous neighbours, and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Kornelius and Katherine Fast; his brother John (Tina) Fast; sister Anna (Henry) Peters; sister Agatha (Mike) Holmes; brother Jacob (Tina) Fast; and brother George Fast. Many of those he leaves behind remember the special times spent during the 50 years that Corny and Agnes lived on The Farm. Corny also spent 27 years working as a Correctional Officer at the Headingley Correctional Institute. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff at the Grace General Hospital, especially Gianna and Cindy, and Dr. Mallick. Viewing will be held Sunday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schoenfelder Mennonite Church in Pigeon Lake, MB. Donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
