GERARD RIOUX Cest avec grande peine que nous annoncons que notre pere, Gerard Rioux, est decede le 9 mai 2001, a lage de 63 ans. Il etait ne le 18 novembre 1937 a Saint-Pierre-Jolys, fils de feu Eugene Rioux et de feu Marie-Ange (Trudeau). Il fut precede par son epouse Priscille (nee Fillion), son frere Leon, ainsi que ses beaux-freres Arthur Lajoie et Ron Tucker. Papa sera manque et survecu par ses enfants, Christelle, Sylvain, Ginette et Joel, ainsi que ses freres, Charles (Emilie), Lucien (Doris), Jean-Marie (Rolande), Eugene (Judy) ses soeurs, Yvonne Champagne (Denis), Monique Lajoie et Pauline Tucker; belle-soeur Carmelle, sans oublier ses nombreux neveux et nieces, belles-soeurs et beaux-freres du cote a Priscille et ses nombreux amis. Dad was a social worker with Indian Affairs, Stony Mountain, Foyer Notre-Dame and Rainbow Residence Carman. He also enjoyed doing pastoral work with different groups. His pride and joy was his family and as a devoted father and friend, was always there to lend a helping hand. The family would like to thank Dr. Shaw and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, as well as friends, neighbours and nurses from Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Prayers and viewing will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14 in the St. Boniface Cathedral with Msgr. Albert Frechette presiding. Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248 Stn. Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
