ALEXANDER FOLDI September 1916 - May 2001 On Wednesday, May 9 at the Health Sciences Centre, Alexander Foldi, aged 84 years, quietly passed away after a courageous effort to recover from a fall; at his side was his wife and daughter. Alexander leaves to mourn his wife of 61 years, Mira, daughter Andrea, son-in-law Perry Gilfix and grandchildren, Lindsay and Michael. Alexander was born in Novi Sad, former Yugoslavia. His courage never went unrecognized by his family as he saved his wife from the hands of the Nazis and his family from the perils of the Hungarian Revolution to bring them all to the freedom of this country in 1957. He worked at Sterling Stall until his retirement. Alexander was a very hard-working man who loved his family very much. He will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends.
