DORA MAY "QUEENIE" CHRISTIE (nee LEWIS) Dora May "Queenie" Christie (nee Lewis) passed away peacefully on May 7, 2001 at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Robin Wenham; son Richard (Maureen), and her grandchildren, Andrea and Rebecca Wenham, as well as family and friends. She was predeceased by Ray, her husband of 58 years, in October of 1999. The family would like to thank the staff at South Granville Park Lodge for the compassionate care shown our mother in her final months. Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Queenie had resided with her family in Vancouver since 1951. Friends, including her painting and stitchery groups as well as her beloved "Pepsters" from Winnipeg days, will miss her vibrant personality and adventurous spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon or the Canadian Cancer Society. Kearney Funeral Services (604) 736-0268
