ALFRED GENTLE SR. On Tuesday, April 24, Alfred Gentle Sr. passed away at the St. Marys Hospital in Vancouver, to be with his Heavenly Father. He was 82 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn, sister Ethel, and brother John from England. He is survived by daughters, Marlene and Wendy (Roy) sons, Alfie (Wendy), Dan, Ken, Richard (Shirley), John (Sandra) and Mark; grandchildren, Kim, Andy (Debbie), Chris (Debbie), Phillip (Joan), Mark, Julian, Jordon, Sasha, Taura, Michael, Jennifer (Chris), Achilles, Akrotiri, Cassius; great-grandchildren, Kelvin, Lucus; and friends of the family. Alf was born in England. He immigrated to Canada after the war. Eventually he settled in Winnipeg, MB, where he was employed by Silverwoods Dairies for most of his career. Alf was a hard-working man who enjoyed the outdoors. He spent endless hours in his backyard developing and enjoying his English garden. He particularly enjoyed his pets (cats, dogs) over his lifetime. Holidays were spent with his family enjoying all that Winnipeg Beach had to offer. After retirement, Alf moved to British Columbia where he enjoyed years of healthful and adventurous experiences. A private service will be held in Winnipeg, MB. "Rest in Peace Dad .We will miss you."
