Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVANGELISTE FOURNIER Our dear father and beloved husband of Laurentine (nee David), peacefully on Friday May 11, 2001 at Pinawa Hospital at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Laurentine; son David; daughters, Terry (Allan) Bruchanski, Louise (George) Ylonen, Irene (Dennis) Champagne; brothers, Joe (Marcela), Jim (Betty) sisters, Bertha (Laurie), Rita (Gordon) brother-in-law Craig; sister-in-law Josephine; 15 grandchildren, Randy, Kevin (Kim), Darrel (Monica), Dwayne (Melissa), Kristie (Jason), Lisa, Tannis (Calvin), Dolena (Lorne), Timm (Chantal), Wendy (Jeff), Angela (Joel), Raquel (Rob), Amy (Jamie), Kristy, Jordon and 21 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters May and Mal, and brothers, George, Mitch, Donald and Rene. Dad was born in Cape de Rosiere in Gaspe Quebec, and came with his family to Lac du Bonnet in 1913. He grew up in the Lac du Bonnet area and enjoyed talking and visiting with friends in a variety of languages. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Everyone enjoyed Peperes story telling. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. He enjoyed working and was proud of his brick work. He was known for his quality workmanship. Van enjoyed gardening, and planting trees at his summer place along the Winnipeg River. He enjoyed travelling across Canada and the United States and especially to his birth place of Cape de Rosiere in Quebec. We appreciated and will miss his interest and involvement in our lives. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, May 13 at the Notre Dame Du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Church, with Rev Fr. R. Belanger officiating. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be his grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Petkau and staff of the Pinawa Hospital and also the Home Care workers who were very good to him. God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." We will miss your beautiful blue eyes and presence. Thanks dad for the wonderful life and memories you gave us.
