Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREMI WILLIAM GRANT CLAEYS Remi William Grant Claeys, beloved husband of Mrs. Sharon Claeys of Calgary, AB passed away at home on Thursday, May 10, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 49 years. Remi was born on March 18, 1952 in Winnipeg, MB. He attended school at Lorette, MB. Remi had resided in Calgary for the past 20 years and was employed with Union Tractor as a heavy duty mechanic. He was both a lover of animals and the outdoors. He enjoyed camping with his family and fishing, hunting and watching movies with his daughters. Besides his loving wife, Remi is survived by his two daughters, Amanda and Raylene; his buddies Patches and Spike; his mother Grace Claeys (Eric Mills) a sister Corrinne Goulet (Reynald) two brothers, Ron and Darcy Claeys and numerous other relatives and friends. Remi was predeceased by his father Jules Claeys. Funeral Services were held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Eastside Memorial Chapel" on Monday, May 14 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Garnet Leach of Sharon Lutheran Church officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Sharon Claeys in trust for Amanda and Raylene, in care of Union Tractor Ltd., 926-46 Ave. S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 2A5 or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation in care of Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331-29th St., N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
