Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMINNIE CAROLINE DENCHUK (nee Kruzelnicki) 1918 - 2001 On Friday, May 11, 2001, Minnie returned home to her family in heaven after a brief illness, at the age of 82. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband John in 1999, Minnie leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Mitchell (Bonnie) of Mission, BC, Brian (Vitra) of Winnipeg; daughter Patricia Horbaty (George) of Libau; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings, Stanley Kruse (Leona), Vandy Kruse (Margaret), and Genevieve Baxter (Howard) of Calgary, AB as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Minnie was predeceased by her sister Rose, brother Philip and parents Frank and Josephine Kruzelnicki. Minnie was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. Her love for life and those around her was evident to all who knew her. In 1941 Minnie married her soulmate John and raised her family in Narol, MB and Winnipeg. Upon retirement they moved to Selkirk, MB and remained there until their passing. John and Minnie loved the outdoors, especially the mountains in B.C. as well as their camping trips to Thief River Falls. It was on these adventures that they developed many lasting friendships. During the time of their retirement and after moving into the Lions Manor, they developed more cherished friendships which saw Minnie through the difficult time following Johns passing. Whether doing a puzzle on the main floor or playing cards on the second floor, these relationships were very special to her. The family wish to thank Drs. Wozny and Demsas, nurses and Palliative care staff and volunteers of the Selkirk General Hospital. We also wish to thank Linda, Minnies guardian angel, for all her support during her time in the hospital. Funeral service will take place at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, 269 Jemima St., Selkirk, MB with Father Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating, on Tuesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Garden of Everlasting Life, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Notre Dame Catholic Church hall. Her pallbearers will be her nephews, Gary Kaminski, David Kruse, Stan Jr. Kruse, Donald Kruse, Kevin Kruse and Ron Kotowich.
