KATIE DYCK On Saturday, May 12, 2001, Katie Dyck, beloved wife of David Dyck of Winnipeg, passed away at the age of 90 years. She is survived by David, her husband of almost 67 years, and children, Lois Dyck of Winkler, Alice (Jake) Epp of St. Norbert, Frank (Lorna) Dyck of White Rock, BC, Abe (Frieda) Dyck of Port Rowan, ON, Arnold (Ollie) Dyck of Oakville and Harold (Jane) Dyck of Abbotsford, BC, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Katie was a gracious woman who took great pleasure in bringing happiness to her family and friends. Her faith in her Lord was strong, even when she faced difficulties as her health failed her. Viewing and a devotional service will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., and at the church prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Portage Ave. Mennonite Brethren Church, 1420 Portage Ave. with interment to follow at the Oakville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Martens and to the staff at Donwood Manor for their outstanding care and compassion. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or to M.B. Missions and Services. (Details will be available at the funeral service.) Arrangements have been entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
