ELSPETH JOHNSON With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear aunt, Elspeth, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2001 at the Misericordia Hospital. Elspeth was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1987, sister Alice Harcus and brothers, Gerald, Albert and Arthur Saunders. She leaves to cherish her memory and will be greatly missed by nieces, Gloria Wiebe of Lockport, Pat Weise, Gina Kormilo and Elizabeth Wilson all of Winnipeg, Minerva Bryant of Kenora, ON; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Gladys, Ruby and Laurence, and numerous cousins. Elspeth was born and raised in the Lockport area. She met and married her husband Roy in 1945, and resided in Winnipeg where she lived for the remainder of her life. "Ellie" as she was known by her friends, co-workers and customers, worked at Dominion Stores in the 1960s. She also worked at Safeway for many years, where she met a very special friend Reverend Aubry Hemminger. She retired in the early 1980s. Aunty was a very loving and caring person who had a true zest for life. She will also be remembered for her good nature and her wonderful sense of humour. Elspeth was a faithful member of Calvary Temple. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. at Notre Dame, with viewing one hour prior to service. We would like to give thanks to the doctors and nurses and staff at the Misericordia Hospital, Cornish 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. We will miss you and we will hold a special placed for you in our hearts forever.
