Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES McCOY ROBBINS After much suffering with COPD, Jim Robbins passed away on May 12, 2001. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Robbins on January 1, 1997, and brother-in-law, Ron Van Achte, in March, 2000. Jim leaves to mourn his dad, Kenneth Robbins; his wife of 32 years, Pat; daughter Keri and Gary Powell, grandchildren Melissa and Logan Powell; daughter Kelly and Reg Cure, granddaughters, Breanne, Cassidy, and Alexandra Cure. He is also survived by sisters, Lois Van Achte, Judy (Bud) Camire, and Arlene (Gerry) Falk; niece and nephews, as well as extended family, Art and Evelyn Shearman, Tom Shearman of Jefferson, Iowa, Lavonne Shearman and family of Altoona, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jim was born in Brandon, MB, on June 19, 1944. His family moved to Winnipeg when he was young. Jim was employed with Olivetti Canada for 26 years. Jims hobbies were hunting and fishing, both of which he was unable to enjoy his last few years due to illness. Jim was predeceased by three of his hunting and fishing buddies, Jim Shearman (Iowa), Howard Josephson (Winnipeg), and Fred Bilodeau (Winnipeg). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with visitation being held one half hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be, Gary Powell, Reg Cure, Scott Fields, Henry Rosin, Jim Nicholson, and Rick Camire. If friends so desire, donations in Jims memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg MB R3A 1P6 or to Ducks Unlimited, P.O. Box 1160, Stonewall MB R0C 2Z0.
