Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN LOVELL BOAN (nee RICHARDSON) Doreen Lovell Boan passed away peacefully with family members at her bedside on Saturday, May 12, 2001 in Regina, SK. Doreen leaves to mourn Gerald Boan, her husband of 50 years; daughters, Wendy Searcy (Stan), Beverly Irvine (Keith) son Craig (Nancy) brother Gord Richardson; and sister Mabel (Val) Vlanich. More than anything else Doreen loved being a mother and grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than visiting with her six grandchildren, Cameron, Chad, Aileen, Jena, Jared and Jesse, and hearing about their trials and triumphs whether small or big. Doreen was a wonderful and resourceful homemaker and was always ready to try out new dishes on family and friends. She loved working with ceramics and was always on the lookout for additions to her collection of pigs which numbered in the hundreds. She and Gerald enjoyed regular walking for many years and treasured the friendship of their walking pals. Doreen fought her battle with cancer until the end. In lieu of flowers, Doreens family has suggested donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1470 Wascana St., Regina, SK S4T 4J5. Memorial celebration will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East, on Wednesday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Regina Funeral Home. Phone 1-306-789-8850. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. And may the winds of love blow gently and whisper so you can hear That we always love you and wish you were still here.
