Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN EDITH CORNWELL July 8, 1920 - May 12, 2001 Quietly in her sleep, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, on May 12, 2001, Kathleen Edith Cornwell (nee Wilson) joined her beloved husband George in eternal peace. Born in Longlands, Holkham R.D., England on July 8, 1920, the second youngest of nine children Kathleen, having married the love of her life George, a Canadian soldier serving in Britain, courageously left her home and family to join her new husband in Canada where together they built a home and raised a family. Kathys many friends will miss her sharp wit and always cheerful manner. She was always there to listen and comfort. She will leave a hollow space in the lives of all who knew her. Kathy leaves to mourn, daughters, Georgina and husband Jim Sayer of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Pamela Loader of Abbotsford, BC; and son Ronald of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren, Rick Loader of Abbotsford, Ian and Keri Sayer of Sault Ste. Marie, Diane, Kelly, Brittany and Tyler Cornwell of Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane, with Rev. Michael Boulger officiating. A special thank you to neighbour and friend Marian Kolba for all her kindnesses and support. She is a treasure.
