Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES DELIA TODD DESILETS Peacefully on May 13, 2001, Agnes Delia Todd Desilets returned to her Lord. She was eighty-eight years old. Aggie was predeceased in 1997 by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard. Left to mourn are her children and their families; Ronald and his wife Anna, Patricia, Colette Holmes and her husband Francis, Loretta, Richard and his wife Lynne; her grandchildren, Lisa (David), Jeanne (Craig), Pierre (Linda), Daniel (Cynthia), Benoit and Philippe Desilets, Carmen and Quincy Donenfeld, Patrick, Spencer and Perry Holmes, Nicolas, Andrea and Elliot Desilets; her great-grandchildren, Louis, Genevieve, Renee and Marissa Managhan, Zachary, Tessa and Jacqueline Balsiger, Lucien, Chloe, Noah and Joel Desilets. Born to Gilbert and Cleophie (Lavallee) Todd, on March 7, 1913 in Elmbank, Manitoba, she was the last surviving member of her family. Her brothers and sisters were Edward (Teresa), Clara, Eleanor, Mary Dauphinais, Joseph (Bernice), Bertha (Adelard) Lavallee, Delima, Peter (Blanche), Victor (Venice), Archie (Grace), Lorne (Ruth) and Vernon. She leaves many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. A woman of gifts, it was her gift of faith that shaped her loving spirit, her gentleness, her sense of caring for others. She passed on her gift of music to her children and grandchildren and she delighted in sharing, be it a helping hand, a gift of flowers, a creation from her kitchen or a kind word. She exuded an innate, contagious happiness. To her last moments, Agnes continued to inspire lessons of kindness. Aggies last years were spent with the caring staff of Foyer Valade. The family wishes to express its gratitude to their commitment and compassion. The family also acknowledges the commitment by the Grey Nuns towards the care of the sick and the aged. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Elie, MB with Father Albert Lafreniere. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Foyer Valade, 450 River Rd, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 5M4.
