MARGARET H. RIDDELL With sadness the family announces the passing of Margaret, peacefully on May 14, 2001 at her residence, at the age of 85 years. Margaret was predeceased by her son, John (1990) granddaughter, Allison (1980) sister, Catherine, of Edinburgh; and brother, Stephen, of Winnipeg. Margaret leaves her husband of 53 years, Stan; her sister Ann of Winnipeg; son Jim (Janice) of Edmonton and grandchildren Scott and Kate; daughter, Sheila of Winnipeg; daughter in-law, Donna and grandchildren Ryan, Lisa and Jason of Victoria, BC. A family person, she loved her children and grandchildren and being with them. She was a great help to her husband, Stan, in his food brokerage business. Her mother, and family of four, came to Canada in 1931 from their home at Sunny Brae near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Her father had been killed during the last month of the First World War. A special thanks to Dr. C. Fletcher of Assiniboine Clinic and Laurie Read, nurse manager of Oncology Care at the Grace General Hospital. Also to the Home Care nurses, Barb and Shirley and Home Care workers Cheryl and Wilma. Their compassion and care has been much appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date, with interment in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margarets memory may be made to her two favourite organizations for the multiple handicapped, if friends so desire. Com Span Inc.
