FRANCIS C. SMART Peacefully on May 17, 2001, at 7:30 a.m., at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 79, Frank Smart remitted his life, soul, and spirit to God, his heavenly Father. He leaves to mourn his caring wife Josephine (Gosselin) Smart; his three sons, Bill (Gail), Frank and Kevin (Lori) his daughter Lisa; grandchildren, Paul, Trevor, Michael and Delany; two sisters, Gladys (Alex) and Dorothy (John) two brothers, Fred and Bob; as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents and his sister Jean Watchman. Frank was a dedicated and hard working man all his life. He served four and one-half years with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles during the Second World War. After his return from overseas, he worked 42 years with the C.P.R. as a Blacksmith and Welder. After his retirement in 1982 he got involved with the church, becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus Charleswood and Miles McDonnell Councils. Frank continued his iron-work and other hobbies during his retirement. He was always willing to help others in need, until his health began to fail in the last few years. Special thanks, to all who assisted Frank in any way, with your care and prayers. Very special thank you to the Deer Lodge Centre, T7, for the compassionate and professional care given to Frank. Flowers gratefully declined.
