AGNES JANE (JEAN) (nee PARK) WELLS After a brief illness, Jean passed away on May 14, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband John; brothers, Dan, Dick, Cliff, Ken, Norman and Doug; and sister-in-law Mary Park. Jean is survived by her sisters-in-law, Maisie, Jackie and Mabel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her niece Carol (Bill) Thompson; nephew Randy (Cecile) Park; their children, Brendon, Kristin and Alexander; and sister-in-law Emily Park. Jean was born on May 9, 1918 in Winnipeg, MB. She moved to the West Coast in the 1940s and resided in Vancouver, New Westminster and most recently in Maple Ridge, BC. A professional and accomplished seamstress, Jeans talents allowed her to create outfits from start to finish, and she was employed at various boutiques throughout her career. Jean was a very independent lady with a wonderful sense of humour. A dedicated volunteer, Jean loved helping others and volunteers for various causes throughout the years. Most recently, she thoroughly enjoyed teaching knitting to "her girls" at the Golden Ears Retirement Centre in Maple Ridge. Jean had a zest for life, travelling to different lands in her younger years. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the second floor of Ridge Meadows Hospital for their care. A heartfelt thank you to Jeans special friend Linda Dmyterko for her support and friendship throughout Jeans illness. In keeping with Jeans wishes, no service was held. Interment has taken place at Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, BC. For those who desire, a donation to the charity of their choice may be made in Jeans memory. "Rest in peace, Auntie."
