Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY F. PACHAL On Friday, May 18, 2001, Harvey passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer caused by asbestos. He was 62. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Onny of 32 years; his three brothers, Lawrence (Kathleen), Stanley (Helen) of Winnipeg, and Clifford (Pat) of Montreal; sisters-in-law, Marion (Joe) Byrne of Kennewick, Washington, Margaret (Peg) (Gary) Thomson of Winnipeg; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mary. Harv was born in Whitewood, SK, on September 10, 1938 and came to Winnipeg at an early age. He retired from CN Rail in 1993 after 38 years of service. One of his greatest joys was spending time at his winter home in Mesa, AZ. The family would like to thank Drs. Ormiston, DeGroot and MacEachern, nurses Ann Ediger and Marlene Pomerenski and all the home care workers, especially Cathy, Kyle and Keith, who gave such support to Harvey and the family. Also thanks to St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care. At Harveys request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
