FRED OSWALD Peacefully on May 17, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre, Fred Oswald passed away at the age of 84 years. Fred is survived by sisters, Ruth Snider, Tina Oswald, Lydia Seifriet, Edna (George) Lester, Erna (Bert) Jenner and Gladys (Roy) Hall; brothers, Edward (Erna) Oswald and Paul (Betty) Oswald. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; parents, Philip and Olga; sister Ida and brother Richard. Fred was born in Waldersee, MB. He served with the Royal Canadian Infantry in the Second World War. After the war he moved to Winnipeg where he operated the Riveria Restaurant and was involved in Commercial Real Estate. Fred was an avid race horse fan and was the owner of Riveria Stables for many years. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Interment Brookside Cemetery. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
