HELEN LETKEMAN Peacefully on June 15, 2001, Helen Letkeman went to be with her Lord and Saviour, at the age of 66 years. Helen was born on August 3, 1934 in Schoenwiese, MB to Wilhelm and Maria Thiessen. She was baptized upon confession of her faith in 1954. On July 24, 1955, Helen married Peter Letkeman of Plum Coulee. During almost 46 years of marriage, they were blessed with three daughters and one son. Helen and Peter resided in Altona, MacGregor and, most recently, in Winnipeg. Helen farmed together with her husband and faithfully supported him while he trucked for Reimer Express Lines. Helen was also active in various ministries with Peter. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who deeply cared and faithfully prayed for her family. She always found the positive in every situation. Her grandchildren were a source of joy and she delighted in all their activities. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spent many hours reading. She also loved the March For Jesus. Helen was predeceased by her parents, one brother, one sister, two sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law. She leaves to cherish many wonderful memories her husband, Peter; daughters, Barbara (Bruce) Unger and their children Scott, Tyler, and Ashleigh of MacGregor, Pamela (Brian) Unger and their children Mitchell, Lacey, and Heidi of Trenton, ON, and Andrea Letkeman of Portage la Prairie (friend Gerry Winters) son Mark (Colleen) Letkeman and their daughter Jayme of Winnipeg; three sisters, four brothers, seven sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law and their respective families. Clarkes Funeral Home, MacGregor in care of arrangements. The Best Is Yet To Come We know that however satisfying our life is here on earth, the best is yet to come. Consider these comparisons: Here on earth, you can be sure of Gods love. In Heaven, you will be constantly basking in that love. Here on earth, you can know you are accepted by God. In Heaven, you will hold an honoured place as Gods child, sister of Christ. Here on earth, you can strive to be Christlike. In Heaven, you will be perfect. Here on earth, you live by faith. In Heaven, you will understand it all and thank God for His wisdom in every little thing. Here on earth, your treasure is pitiful and shabby and falling apart. In Heaven, the treasure you stored up is priceless and indestructible. Hallelujah! The best really is yet to come! Author: Kay Marshall Strom
