MOWAT WARD Peacefully, with family by his side, Mowat Ward passed away at the Grace Hospital at age 95. Mowat was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Ebb) in 1984; brother Charles; sister Margaret; sister-in-law Jean (Sis) sister-in-law Edith; and brother-in-law Tom. Mowat is survived by his sister-in-law May; nephews, Garnet (Susan), Blane (Bev), Roy (Tanyss), Archie (Lois), Tom (Lois), Dan, Mowat and their families, and by dear friend Olga Connor. Mowat was born in Portage La Prairie and attended school there. He worked for Ingram and Bell as a traveling salesman and retired with 40 years of service. He enjoyed duck hunting, curling, and golfing. After his retirement, he and Ebb enjoyed many winters in San Diego. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital as well as the caregivers at Rosewood Village for the care given to Mowat. Memorial service for Mowat will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow.
