Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN WITZKE (nee LENTZ) Peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2001, Helen Witzke (nee Lentz), aged 71 years passed away at the Beausejour Hospital. Helen was born in the R.M. of Brokenhead August 10, 1929. She grew up in the Green Bay District on the family farm. She worked in Winnipeg for a couple of years before marrying Alfred Witzke in 1956. They farmed in the Green Bay District for many years, moving to Beausejour in 1988. Helen enjoyed the outdoors and social events with family and friends. She loved music and sang with the church choir for many years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Alfred; her sons, Alf (Margo), Robert (Debbie) grandchildren, Jason, Krista, Aaron; great-grandchild Alek; brothers, Richard (Evelyn) Lentz, Bernhard (Barbara) Lentz; sisters-in-law, Martha Recksiedler, Nora Recksiedler, Eleanor Witzke; brother-in-law Edward Sachvie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Campbell and staff at the Beausejour Hospital for making Helens last days comfortable. In accordance with Helens wishes their will be no viewing. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour, Manitoba at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Michael Cone will officiate. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if family and friends so wish they may make memorial donations to the Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the Beausejour Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
