MIKE YUSSACK December 23, 1924 - May 19, 2001 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mike Yussack on Saturday, May 19, 2001 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mike was predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Anielka (Juzefiw) Yussack; sister Mary; brothers, Victor, Peter, Bill and Nick. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 47 years, Anita; sons, Larry (Sandra) and Rodney; sister Pauline Napady; nieces, Joyce May and Barb Yussack; nephews, Bill Yussack and Brian Yussack and their families. Mike will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Mike joined the navy when he was 17 and travelled the world. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 141 for 52 years. In his youth, Mike was an avid bowler. He met and married Anita in 1954 and worked for C.P. Rail for 40 years, retiring in 1987. Mike enjoyed travelling and spent many enjoyable summers at Twin Beaches with his family. At Mikes request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Tribute to celebrate Mikes life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton. The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation to the nursing staff of 5 Unit 6 at Seven Oaks Hospital, for the gentle care Mike received and also for their compassionate support of the family in our grief. Special thanks are offered to Dr. Jack Nepon and Dr. D. McCarthy, for the help he received while in their care. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, a donation in Mikes memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
