MILTON EGBERT MATHESON It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Milton Egbert Matheson has peacefully ended his journey on May 22, 2001. Milton was born in Guyana on December 31, 1940. In 1969, he immigrated to Winnipeg where he has lived and worked for over 30 years. Miltons love for his family was deep and unconditional. His family was blessed with a very kind, positive and caring gentleman. He was a loving, devoted and supportive husband and father. Milton had many friends. He was a good friend and a wonderful host. His home was always open to his friends. He will always be remembered for his sincerity, open-mindedness, good humour and his genuine concern for others needs. Milton was predeceased by his mother Vernese; father Laurie; and two brothers, Samuel and Lincoln. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eulah; daughter, Olato; sisters, Mavis, Reena, Joyce, Gloria, Bridget, Wendy, Berthnell and Yvette; brothers, Lionel and Lennox; cousins, Leslie and others; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and his many friends. Miltons family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Rev. G. Clarke and the congregation of St. Annes Anglican Church for their prayers and support; to Drs. Lezak, Schroeder, Shah, Mar and the staff of Unit 3 - East Wing at Riverview Health Centre and the staff of the Misericordia Health Centre, as well as to all the many friends who have been there for us. At Miltons request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the St. Annes Anglican Church, 253 Burrin Ave., on Monday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Miltons name to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 or to the Riverview Health Foundation, Palliative Care, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 2P4.
