Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVONNE LEIGH ROSE (nee ARNASON) Peacefully on May 21, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, Yvonne Leigh Rose, beloved wife of Edward Rose. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Einar and Thora Arnason. Yvonne leaves to mourn husband Edward; daughter Kristiana (Brent) son Andrew (Julie) granddaughter Victoria; sister Jan Krentz (Barry) nieces, Darien (Reuben), Cary (Brad) nephew Aaron. Johann and Fanny and a host of extended family and friends. Yvonne was born in Winnipeg on January 13, 1941. She attended St. Marys Academy receiving her diploma. After graduating, her interest in art led her to the University of Manitoba where she graduated with a Major in Fine Arts. This led to an advertising job with The Bay. Yvonne was married in 1965 to Edward Rose with whom she had two children, Kristiana and Andrew. Yvonnes love for her children was immense. Her daughters interest in Girl Guides led Yvonne to become a leader and eventually commissioner for over 15 years. Later in life, she became a bus driver for the St. Boniface School Division, from where she retired in 1994. During this time she enjoyed working with the school children and her time as a Steward of her Union. Yvonne enjoyed her spare time gardening, making crafts, knitting and spending time with her family at Falcon Lake. She was a supportive wife, mother and friend who took on lifes challenges, big or small, with a positive attitude. She would never turn away anyone in need and always lent a kind ear. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent to Salvation Army, Memorial Fund, 500 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. "Yvonne will be loved and missed but never forgotten."
