SARAH MARJORIE SELLICK (nee STEVENSON) We announce the passing of our wife, mother, and grand-mother, Sarah Marjorie Sellick, on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson, at the age of 66 years. Marge was born in Peguis on March 26, 1935. She started to work at an early age with her father, and went on to work for many other people within the community. After marrying her husband, Norman Louis Sellick, they moved their family to Winnipeg for a number of years. Upon moving back to Hodgson, Marge worked numerous jobs, including 15 years at the Percy E. Moore Hospital in the kitchen. Marge was very active with the Royal Canadian Legion, Hodgson Branch No. 158, and the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to curl in the winter bonspiels, and had won many prizes. Marge loved the summer months, especially the end of summer. She was well known for her canning ability and her generosity. Marge is survived by her husband, Norman; sons, Robert, Norman (Shirley), Barry, Danny, and Steven; daughters, Debbie (Randy) Cook and Dawn; grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Nicholas, Kristopher, Tyler, Marie, and Katherine; sisters, Marion, Bernice (Don), and Anna (Charles) sisters-in-law, Emma Stevenson, Kay Thomas, Edna Snieder, Phyllis Pemberton, and Rose Booth; brother-in-law Fred Pruden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marge was predeceased by her parents, John and Maria Stevenson; brothers, Edgar, Eggerton, Albert, and two in infancy; sisters, Muriel, Nora, Mabel, Glenda, Lily, and Joyce; daughter-in-law, Doreen Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Susie Pruden, Chris Beard, and Sisper Smith; brothers-in-law, Walter Pruden, Sam Pruden, Robert Pruden, Dell Pemberton, Carl Thomas, George Beard, Dave Snieder, and Joe Hamrlik. A wake service will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Manitoba Metis Federation Hall in Hodgson, MB. Rev. Wesley Barrett and Rev. Barry Bear officiating. Interment will follow at Hodgson Cemetery. Pallbearers, Frank Skibinski, Walter Malkowich, Ivan McPherson, Doug McCorrister, Lloyd Stevenson and Dwight Nahuluk. Honorary pallbearers, Kelly Sinclair, Lori Thomas, Pam McPherson, Rachel Beauchamp, Veronica Walker, Marvin Madison, and Joanne Hamrlik. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, Chief Louis J. Stevenson and his family, and the Peguis Band Councillors, as well as many friends and relatives for their support.
