Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK (FRED) DEANE COOKE On Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at his residence in Highland Glen, MB, Fred Cooke, aged 84 years. Fred is survived by his three children, Jim (Val) and their children, Nicole, Stacy and James, Pat (Don) and their son David, Danny (Danielle) and their children, Candace, Daniel and Kevin. He will also be remembered by his many friends, and neighbours. Fred was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 1987. Dad served in the Second World War and in later years he became a longtime employee of the Royal Bank of Canada. Mom and Dad met as children and grew up together in the St. James area of Winnipeg. They later married and moved to St. Vital and raised their three children. In 1970 they purchased the store at Highland Glen, MB, where they resided ever since. Dad enjoyed camping, fishing and in later years both painting and carving. A memorial service in celebration of Freds life will be held on Saturday, May 26 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, with Capt. Chris Dickens officiating. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to homecare and especially to Eve for all her kindness and care shown to Dad. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made in Freds name to the Salvation Army, Public Relations Dept. 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
