OLGA HAYMAN With deep sadness and pain the family announces the passing of our much-loved Mom, "Baba", sister, aunt and good friend. She passed away on May 22, 2001 at the Toronto General Hospital, surrounded by her three daughters. During her recent illness, Mom fought with an incredible will to live until God took her home. Olga is survived by her daughters, Debbie Olfrey, Theresa (Bruce) Hardie and Cindy Hayman; her grandchildren, Spencer, Rae-Anne, Steven and Amanda. She also leaves behind her much-loved pets "Buddy" and "Domino". She is also survived by her sisters, Anne (Ignace), Elsie and brother-in-law Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Hrynkiw; her son Kevin; brother Bill; and sister Matilda. Mom was born in Rama, SK in 1934. She moved to Bowsman in 1960 where she raised four children on her own. During her working years she managed the Bowsman Co-op until her retirement. She also was a councillor for the town of Bowsman until present. Mom was a master of many trades and there was very little she wouldnt try to do. Her willingness to help others was evident in her help and participation in many organizations within her community. The morals and values that we hold dear today come from Moms example. She constantly denied herself for our well being since she was a loving and tenderhearted person. She took great pride in her grandchildren and played a major role in their lives. She enjoyed spending many hours in her garden and yard and decorated her house and yard like tinsel town at Christmas. She won many awards for her efforts but got the most satisfaction out of the pleasure these efforts brought to others. Many were thrilled with her care packages of her canning and preserves. To some she was known as their perogy lady. We will love and cherish your memory forever - "rest in peace until we meet again". Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Andrews United Church, Swan River, MB, with Rev. Meg Illman-White officiating. Interment will take place in the Birchwood Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Swan Valley Health Facilities Foundation Inc., Box 1450, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0. What we would give if we could say, Well go and see our mom today, To see her face and loving smile, To sit and talk with her awhile. We miss you Mom, We always will, And when our lives are through, We pray that God will take our hands, And lead us straight to you. Arrangements are entrusted to Swan Valley Funeral Services Ltd., Swan River. 734-5775.
