WINNIFRED ETHEL LILLIAN KENNY Peacefully on May 24, 2001, at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Winnifred Kenny, aged 85 years, of Ashern, MB. Winnnie was born January 26, 1916, in Winnipeg, MB. She attended school in Winnipeg and in Silver Bay. On September 22, 1934, she married David Kenny and together they farmed west of Ashern (Picnic Ridge). Winnie was a member of the Anglican Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, and visiting with her grandchildren. She leaves to mourn one son David; one daughter Eileen Jones of Ashern; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and also many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Ethel; her husband David in 1980; two sisters, Violet and Ivy; brother Eric; and son-in-law Leonard Jones in 1988. A private family funeral service will be held. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital, special thanks to Esther Busch for her friendship and to everyone who called and visited her.
